Volunteers Needed for Winter Admissions Gate and Concessions
Thank you to all who have volunteered already, or who are signed up to volunteer at a future date for our admissions gate and concession stand for our winter sports events. We still need to fill about half of the slots. You will find those open dates on the Sign-up Genius Link by clicking here. You don’t have to have an athlete to volunteer, but we do ask the families of our student-athletes to sign-up for at least one night. Thank you to Suzanne Sheley and Katie Byrne for organizing these important volunteer teams this winter.
Spring Sports Around the Corner/Current Sports Physical Needed on File
Spring sports practices are scheduled to begin February 21 - depending on your sport. Additional information will be coming in January, but for now please make sure that your child’s sports physical and forms are current and on file in the Athletic Office. If you need to know the date for your child’s renewal please contact the Athletic Department. You may access the required forms on the Athletics Page of our school website, or click here.
Current Face Covering Policy for Athletic Events
Currently, the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (NCISAA) strongly recommends that all coaches, athletes, officials, spectators and all others wear a face covering indoors unless they are an active participant or an exemption applies.
Note - While wearing a face covering is not an NCISAA mandate, some of our opponents are located in counties or municipalities where local ordinances are still required.
WCCS Home Athletic Events on the NFHS Network
WCCS streams home athletic events that take place in the gym, or on the soccer fields. You, or family members who are out of state, may purchase a monthly or yearly subscription through NFHSNetwork.com.
