Luxurious + Refined: Extensive Guest Room + Public Space Renovations
In a nod to the hotel's dedicated and sizable international clientele, Westminster Hotel underwent an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation of its Club Level rooms (below right), suites and hallways.
"Maintaining our reputation for the region's most modern, gracious rooms was of prime importance to me when I came on board," notes Ankersen. "We are committed to continuing the investment it takes to earn our AAA Four Diamond Quality Hotel designation."
The quietly chic rooms feature a soothing palette of gray and white with teal accents, floor-to-ceiling headb
oard
and drapes with silhouette blinds for soft diffused lighting, a plush seating area, white quartz counter tops and floating nightstands equipped with convenient jack and USB outlets (see photo right).
Club Level Suites provide an abundant amount of space to relax or work in comfort and style. The newly renovated, 800 sq. ft. suite features one king-size Hollandia International bed and separate parlor featuring a plush sectional sofa w/a twin-size pull-out bed, dining table for four, an additional 60-inch HD television and small kitchenette.
Additionally, Club Level Rooms and Suites (image below) boast 300-thread-count, quadruple-sheeted Egyptian Cotton bed linens, a 60-inch flat-screen, high-definition TV and an iPod docking st
ation.
The Hotel's hallways have a modern, cool metropolitan feel to complement the rooms: white textured wall coverings, black and white pendant and sconce lighting, contrasting gray paint with Greek key crown molding and contrasting black/gray/white carpeting and granite thresholds.
Guest reactions to the redesign? Extremely positive, especially about the bright, energetic decor and state of the art connectivity that helps them be more productive.
Next phase of renovation: the balance of the hotel rooms, lobby and banquet + meeting spaces.
