Picnic Leftovers!

There were lots of leftovers from the CHPC worship/picnic on August 20. This Sunday, September 3, after worship, Ben Langley and Jerry Van Marter will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs in the parking lot of CHPC. There are also plenty of drinks, so wander out to the parking lot after worship for a burger, hot dog and a soft drink.

Meditation Garden Clean Up

Tuesday, September 5, at 9:30 a.m.

Patti Marcum will be working in CHPC’s meditation garden on Tuesday, September 5, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. There is a meditative quality in pulling weeds, cutting back shrubs, breathing in the earthy smells, and feeling late-summer breezes. If you’d like to join her, bring your garden tools (clippers, rakes, gloves, etc.) for a morning of delight in nature. If you let Patti know you are coming. CHPC's High School Youth Group

September gathering!

Our next youth group is going to be SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 10 at

4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We'll meet at the picnic tables at Hogan's Fountain area of Cherokee Park-- the ones across the street from the main parking lot there-- to have a snacky-supper (finger foods most likely), games, cards, and fun!

Bring your water bottle (sunscreen/hat if needed!), and any soccer balls, frisbees, basketball, instruments, board/card games that spark your interest and we will bring a few group game things as well as our beloved Uno! (Rain location -- youth room at Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church.)

Visiting Church Leaders from El Salvador and Guatemala

One of half a dozen official Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) International Peacemakers this fall, Abdias Noemí Iglesias Sánchez, will have an early lunch with Crescent Hill folks from 11:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 (note the new time and day), at the Payne Street Bakery at 225 South Spring Street (at Spring and Payne in Irish Hill).

CHPC folks are also hosting Iglesias Sánchez and her translator, PC(USA) Regional Liaison Leslie Vogel, and are trying to schedule a suppertime/dinner opportunity to visit with them.
