Forward in Faith
Dear Beloved of God,
On Sunday, October 15, we begin our Commitment Season. Our theme this year, Forward in Faith, is based on Matthew 17:20, “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Commitment Sunday is October 29. You will be asked to bring your pledge forward if you attend worship in person. If you are watching online or unable to join us that day, we ask that you mail your pledge card into the office or click here to complete the online form.
Stewardship is an essential part of our shared life—not only the money that you give to the ministry and mission of the church but also your time and talents. As you go through this season, I invite you to consider how you feel called to serve in and through CHPC:
1. What can you do so well that you could teach someone else?
2. Which congregational ministries have meant the most to you in the past or pique your interest today?
3. What is God putting on your heart as you consider your participation in the life of your faith community?
4. What financial support are you willing and able to pledge for next year?
These are just a few of the questions you might prayerfully consider in the next few weeks. I trust that God will lead you to the answers you need.
