The Tampa Police Department is proud to announce a decrease in violent crime in the community. Data from a violent crime survey recently released by the Major Cities Chiefs Association shows Tampa has the 2nd lowest violent crime rate per capita among the cities surveyed with similar population sizes.

Join the Tampa Police Department and community leaders at the MLK Jr. Center, 2200 N Oregon Ave, on March 2 from 6-8 PM for an open discussion about crime reduction efforts and ways to increase community safety.

Crime Trend Reports

The Alliance reviews the latest crime statistics and crime trend reports published by the Tampa Police Department and shares this information with the community.

The β€œWeekly Recap” provides you with a full summary of specific crimes that took place and any trends that you need to be aware of in your neighborhood. These reports are emailed to those requesting them, to add your email please contact Shawn Fogarty.

Business Watch Tampa is a valuable partnership with local businesses and the Tampa Police Department that will help keep our businesses and our community safe. The partnership opens up several lines of communication that enable us to work together with accurate and up-to-date information that can help prevent crime in Tampa.

The Tampa Police Department implemented the Trespass Affidavit Program to help businesses and/or property owners control access to their property during non-business hours or their absence from the premises.

The City of Tampa Hurricane Re-Entry Program is for residents and businesses in the areas most likely to be evacuated during a hurricane event (within Zip Codes 33602, 33605, 33606, 33607, 33609, 33611, 33616, 33619, 33629, 33634 and MacDill Air Force Base 33621). It is designed to make it easier for residents and business representatives to re-enter the area after evacuation orders have been lifted.
