ICYMI! Safety & Security Series: CPTED Recap  
On March 3rd, in partnership with the Tampa Police Department, we hosted the first of quarterly crime prevention seminars at TPD District One. Attendees learned more about Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Crime Free Multi-Housing, Community Roll Call and Conversations, Trespass Affidavits and more. New Crosswalks in Westshore
The Alliance continues our commitment to improving safety for pedestrians in the Westshore area. Through the Westshore Special Services district, new high visibility red brick pattern thermoplastic crosswalks were installed on Cypress Street at Reo Street and Frontage Road.  In the coming months, several more crosswalks in Westshore will be upgraded.

Vision Zero is a national initiative for zero traffic fatalities, and the Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization is leading local efforts along with several partner organizations including the Westshore Alliance. TPD Project REC "Register Every Camera"
The Tampa Police Department's latest community initiative is focused on keeping a digital eye on crime. Project REC creates a network of community members who are willing to share video footage with police officers actively working to track down criminals.  Get more information and register your camera online  here.
