2021 Covid virus is real.




Westside Church of Christ  
established in Jacksonville, Florida in 1930 under the teaching of Bro. Marshall Keeble. It has hit its highs and lows during its tenue.  The Westside congregation was the first of many accomplishment black or white among the churches of Christ in Jacksonville.  In 1972 the Westside Family Singers appeared on the weekly  Sunday Morning Gospel Hour alongside the first African American news anchor Ken Knight  In 1972.  The same broadcaster was instrumental in establishing the weekly bible study program "Let the Bible Speak."   Bro. Walter Cox., Jr. passed the program on to our son in the gospel in 1988  Bro. Charlie E. McClendon.  To date Bro. McClendon carries the largest congregation within the city of Jacksonville, the Northside Church of Christ.  Bro McClendon who was added to the body of Christ in 1962 under Bro. Cox's leadership.  In 1982 another radio program was birthed  "Things Which Become Sound Doctrine" under the leadership of  Min. Terrance  R. McClain launched the weekly  radio program

Marshall Keeble- Dec. 7, 1878 - April 20,1968 - baptized at least 40,000 people in his lifetime and assisted in the establishment of the Nashville Christian Institute in Nashville, Tn. Born December 7, 1878 in Murfreesboro, Tn. Our very own sister in Christ,  Ravella Faye Israel,  is an alumnus of this prestigious institute. Bro. Keeble preached his last sermon April 17, 1968.  


           


Meet the Lawyer for Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr.  A Conversation with Pioneering Civil Rights Hero Fred Gray Congressman John Lewis called Fred Gray one of "the Founding Fathers of modern America." In 1958 Dr. King called him "the brilliant young Negro who later came chief counsel for the protest movement." Fred Gray opened his law practice in Montgomery, Alabama in 1954 with the mission of "destroying everything segregated I could find."   Attorney Gray is a graduate of the renowned Nashville Christian Institute established by Marshall Keeble. At the age of 8yrs old he was added to the body at the  Holt Street Church of Christ.

VSC Online Ministries seeks to minister to  families, churches, communities, and a world that needs healing. Through our ministry, we seek to empower the whole person: mind, body and spirit. 
 
Our Sunday morning Ladies Bible Class Series is custom design to Edify, Equip and Empower women of God to live better lives in Him. Each week we have a dynamic lesson, engaging virtual discussion and powerful break-out sessions.
 
Our next series will be led by the amazing and prolific woman of God, Dr. Dorothy Dye.
