The Westview School is delighted to present the Winter edition of The Wildcat Chronicle, Westview’s school magazine. This issue is filled with highlights from last fall, including a look at Westview High School, Rachel Patronella’s journey from volunteer to teacher, how our Parent Support Group connects families, and a spotlight on our amazing alumni. Huge thanks to our teachers, staff, and community for making this edition possible.
Each edition of the Wildcat Chronicle is a chance to share the heart of Westview—our students, staff, and all the incredible things happening here every day. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together!

On February 19, Westview welcomed trainees from Texas Children's Hospital's Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics and Autism. As part of Community Advocacy Month, Texas Children's engages its developmental-behavioral pediatric trainees in community site visits to help better understand the systems that support their patients.
The day began with a presentation, followed by a guided tour of our campus and observations in our classrooms. The visit concluded with a panel discussion featuring several Westview Middle School students.

The Q&A session was an excellent opportunity for our students to share their stories of personal growth at The Westview School. The students fielded questions such as, "What do you want your doctors to know about Autism?" and "What do you like about Westview?" We are incredibly proud of how well our students represented themselves and our school.
Dinah Godwin, Director of Social Work, shared, "Everyone was so impressed with the school environment and the passion you have for your students… Our favorite part was the Middle School panel—your kids were amazing!"
