We are excited to share the latest happenings at The Westview School. From upcoming events to special highlights, there’s always something inspiring to explore and celebrate at Westview.

The Westview Winter Program is a beloved tradition that brings together our entire school community to showcase our students. This year’s program was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to the time, creativity, and dedication of Nelson Armstrong, Westview’s music teacher, and Kaylee Bond, Westview’s art teacher. Their collaboration brought our students’ performances to life in a way that was both magical and memorable.

Putting on a show like this takes more than just learning a song and a dance. In the weeks leading up to performance day, our students practiced walking to New Life Church, getting comfortable in costumes, and building confidence as they lined up, took the stage, and patiently waited for their big moment. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to set our Wildcats up for success, and the results spoke for themselves.

The Winter Program is a shining example of what makes Westview so special—our commitment to nurturing every child, celebrating their achievements, and helping them shine. Seeing the pride and joy on the faces of our students and their families made this year’s program a truly great experience.

We are excited to invite you to an Open House about the highly anticipated Westview High School, opening in Fall 2025!

At The Westview School, we believe that fostering independence is a cornerstone of helping children with autism thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. One of the most effective tools in this journey is the use of visual supports. Visual supports use images, symbols, or cues to help students process information, communicate clearly, and navigate their day. Some examples of this include picture schedules, checklists, social stories, timers, and task cards.

This month on the Westview Blog, Westview teachers and administrators share ways integrate these strategies into their classrooms every day. Each approach reflects the creativity and dedication of Westview staffers to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

For over 43 years, The Westview School has been a place where children with autism learn, grow, and thrive - thanks to supporters like you.

Every gift—whether $10, $100, or $1,000—makes a meaningful impact: helping fund scholarships, enhancing technology, or creating opportunities for our amazing students. At Westview, every gift helps us write the next chapter of our story. Your support creates opportunities for our students to thrive and grow.

Be part of The Westview Story—give today and shape a brighter tomorrow for our students.
