Hello, Westview families,

The fact that our Westview community was long overdue to gather together and connect as a group may be the understatement of the pandemic. It was the Friday night before Spring Break in East Downtown Houston, but our staff, families, and community showed up in force. One hundred twenty-five cars strong, we gathered at the Moonstruck Drive-In to support The Westview School’s fundraising efforts. My heart was so happy to finally see the faces of many parents that I had yet to meet in person. It was wonderful to be able to match them to the students that I see every day. Watching our staff roll out the red carpet to welcome and serve our families, this time hot dogs and donor cards, with the ever-present joy and enthusiasm that is always reserved for their Westview kids was incredibly rewarding. Watching the children running and laughing outdoors with their friends outside of their school cohort bubble brought pure joy! It’s been a long year, but we continue to thrive as a community, and oh what a night to be together in our own outdoor and socially-distanced way, and remember what a special community we have.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire team for jumping in to make this event so wonderful. We hope that it just the beginning of many more gatherings to come.

All the Best,

Head of School
