September 15, 2020
Hello, Westview Families,

It is time for our first official "event" of the 2020-2021 school year. This Thursday, September 17, 2020 will be our Westview Virtual Open House. In a typical year, our families would spend the evening of open house gathering in Largent Hall to meet and greet our Westview staff and then families would transition to classrooms to learn from their child's specific teacher about the academic programs for the year.

This year, we will be replicating the open house experience virtually.

Here is how it will work:

Below you will find a video introducing the members of our wonderful team and reviewing some general information for the year. This video includes information that would normally be presented at the start of open house.

Then, on Thursday evening, you will join your child's teacher and the parents of classmates in a live ZOOM meeting to learn more about what is on tap for this school year. You can expect an email from your child's teacher this Wednesday with a link to the Zoom.

So, let's get started. Welcome to our Virtual Open House

Westview Internal Notification System (W.I.N.S.)

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, we will be testing our Westview Internal Notification System (W.I.N.S.) W.I.N.S will replace our previously used phone tree as a way to quickly and efficiently notify families of immediate school-wide information, announcements, and/or emergencies. The system test is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 AM. You will receive three notifications tomorrow for the test: email, text and phone. If you do not receive all three forms of notification from our system tomorrow, you should contact Candi Pettit by email or phone (713) 973-1900 to make sure that Westview has the most updated contact information for your family.
