Ascension Sunday

Sermon Title:

"What Are You Searching For?"

Sacred Text:

Acts 1:6-14

Worship (in-person and online):

11:15 AM

A Word from Renae

The disciples had just gotten used to the Resurrected Jesus hanging out with them when he leaves them again. They stayed lingering in the place they saw him last. Looking to see if he might just come back again. We tend to memorialize places where we have memories with our loved ones in the same way, hoping to rekindle a feeling or memory.

Then the angels appear to them, and ask them what they are looking for? I wonder how we would answer today if asked the same question. What are you looking for? Join us on Sunday as we explore some possible answers.

Blessings,

Rev. Renae

Take a few minutes each day this week to pray this prayer for our church, as we search for our next space:

God of Hope, we praise you for Your unfailing love and blessing over our lives and our church. Be our refuge and strength in this time of uncertainty. Guide us by Your Spirit to our next place of ministry, where we can have the most influence for You. We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.
