What Clinicians Need to Know Series: Hallucinogens

We are pleased to share that the archive of the newest training from the What Clinicians Need to Know series is now available.


This session will provide an overview of various substances comprising the category of hallucinogens, their intoxication and withdrawal symptoms, and co-occurring mental health and physical health concerns. The session will also address the state of any known therapeutic benefit of these substances and legal status.


The archived training offers 1.5 hours of CASAC, LMHC, Psychology, and Social Work continuing education.

About the Trainer: Nicholas Batson, M.D., M.M.M., is the Senior Medical Director for Crystal Run Healthcare and is board-certified in neurology, addiction medicine, and adolescent psychiatry. He has a strong interest in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, including co-occurring disorders.



This series is supported through a Westchester County Opioid Settlement Treatment Grant awarded to Westchester Jewish Community Services. The content is intended to support all clinicians, including therapists and psychiatric providers, in treating substance use and co-occurring disorders by providing an overview of substances of misuse, their intoxication and withdrawal symptoms, their interactions with other mental health diagnoses, and their treatment
