Celebrate Valentine's Day at Houmas House
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Houmas House is offering lovely dining options for you and your special someone.

The Carriage House will offer a limited menu on Saturday, February 10th through Saturday, February 17th from 4 to 8 PM.

Latil's Landing will offer a prix fixe seven-course menu on Saturday, February 10th, and again on Wednesday, February 14th through Saturday, February 17th. For a reservation for 15 guests or more, please fill out the reservation request form below.

Secrets From the Kitchen at Houmas House
If you've followed us on social media over the last few years, you've seen our weekly cooking shows hosted by Executive Chef Jeremy Langlois. Each Thursday, Chef Jeremy shares some of his favorite recipes while sprinkling in a little history. His cooking demonstrations have offered a new opportunity to interact with all of you. Explore our tour options!
The guided tour of Houmas House Mansion will take you back in time to learn the stories of the previous owners and their lifestyles, including examples of their decorative collections, artwork and the architecture of this magnificent plantation. Our guided mansion tours are daily from 9:30 AM to 7 PM.
Our 30,000 square foot museum tells the stories of Life on the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Our Enslaved Exhibit depicts the origin of slavery as well as freedom from slavery in the South. Wax figures in period clothing portray life in the 18th and 19th Centuries. This not-to-be-missed museum is both educational and entertaining. Our Great River Road Museum is a self guided tour that is open daily from 8 AM until 4 PM.

Our 38 acres of lush gardens await you! Explore beautifully landscaped gardens featuring lovely statuary, fountains and whimsical art objects. Visit our centuries-old Allee of Oaks and enjoy the swans, peacocks, ducks and other wildlife. Grab a cocktail at either our Dixie Cafe or the Turtle Bar and stroll our historic gardens.
