Fairfax County FY 2024 Budget Process Begins Soon – On February 21st the County Executive will release the FY2024 Advertised Budget Plan. While the FY 2024 budget has been influenced by Board decisions throughout the past year (see my November newsletter on the tax outlook), the release of the advertised budget will start the formal process for reviewing the budget, hearing from residents, and adopting a tax rate.
I’ve heard from many of you over the last year about what you want to see (or don’t want to see) in the County budget going forward. As we start 2023, I want to check in and hear your thoughts on what you want to see in the next County budget.
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts on the budget and I hope you’ll take the time to send me feedback directly by emailing springfieldbos@fairfaxcounty.gov, as well as sign up to testify at the budget public hearings on April 11-13th. You can testify by email, pre-recorded video, phone, or in-person.
