What Does God Call You?
Some call Abraham a liar, but God called him a friend. Some call David a murderer, but God called him a man after His own heart.
Some still call them prostitutes, but Jesus said they would enter the kingdom ahead of those who called them that. The religious leaders of Jesus’ day never saw or understood how God sees people.
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).
It doesn’t matter what others call you or how they label you because of your past. God uses His Son as a qualifier when He sees you. Abraham was credited with righteousness because He believed God. Today, our faith in Jesus makes us righteous, thus, erasing our past and securing our eternal future in Him.
Because God no longer holds our sins against us (2 Corinthians 5:19), His plan and purpose are all about reconciliation. It isn’t about our past, but His future He has for us. Because of this truth, we can rejoice in God and be at peace with Him because He is at peace with us. Thank You, Jesus!
