Dear Benjamin,
As I leave Washington D.C. today, I am encouraged after spending time with many pro-life champions at the National Right to Life Convention! America was founded to protect the liberty of every person, and life is the first of all freedoms. We must continue to fight to extend the right to life to every American, born and unborn!
I was reminded that in Louisiana we are very fortunate to have passed the Love Life Amendment in 2020, ensuring that a right to abortion cannot be found in our state's constitution.
Many other states are not as fortunate as they face pro-abortion constitutional amendments this fall, including our neighbors in Florida and potentially Arkansas. If approved by voters, abortion will be enshrined in their state's constitution.
Use the links below to learn how you can help our friends in Florida and elsewhere:
While we are fortunate in Louisiana, we cannot rest. If the opinions of our citizens change, then our laws will follow. We must continue to fight right here at home!
We have two great chances to educate the hearts and minds of our citizens this month.
-
July 15th-20th: Pulse Leadership Institute (PLI): The best defense we have is to teach our children the basic principles of human dignity. Please encourage students to attend PLI so they can be trained with the skills needed to counter pro-abortion arguments with love and compassion.
-
July 20th: Pro-Life Summit: Attend our one-day state conference for adults and students in Baton Rouge to learn more and become a more effective advocate.
Please take a few minutes to spread the word about these two amazing events to strengthen the pro-life movement!
For a Pro-Life Louisiana,
