Dear Friends,

Please join us in celebrating RWF’s 22nd anniversary this month!

For those who suffer, there can be no greater gift than providing for their immediate care and supporting them in meeting their long-term needs. Since 2000, Rainbow World Fund has acted upon this simple belief. I am filled with gratitude for every person who has supported our work and for every person who has been touched by it. Our hope for the future resides in the belief that we are all in this together.
I have often been asked "With so much turmoil in the world, what can the LGBTQ+ community do?". My answer is always the same - plenty! No matter what is happening in the world, there are countless ways that individuals and small groups of people can make a difference. From our daily food and travel choices, to what media we digest, from volunteering for a cause that inspires you, to actually visualizing world peace, it all has an impact.
Everywhere I look in the world, people are confronting seemingly insurmountable hardships head on, standing up to entrenched power, and organizing to help one another. It is important to know and remember this. Whenever I need to get centered and inspired, I return to this quotation from anthropologist Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." That does it for me. What inspires you?
Over the last twenty-two years, with your helpRWF has donated millions of dollars in humanitarian aid (financial grants/medicine/medical equipment) and provided tens of thousands of hours of volunteer service on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community to people in need around the world. My sincerest gratitude goes to our hard working volunteers and the countless hours they have given us, to the donors whose generosity makes our work possible, to our brave international partners on the front lines, to the many entertainers and community supporters whose talent and skills have graced us, and to the board members who have guided RWF.
