American workers generally retire around the age of 64, though data shows that the average age varies by state. For New Yorkers, it's 63.
Being able to retire comfortably is a popular end goal for many individuals who spend the majority of their years working - and saving. Though it may seem like an easy transition, retirement is a serious decision that takes a great deal of thought and preparation. Planning ahead by taking future spending and savings figures into consideration can make the transition into retirement more manageable and rewarding.
Here at Saratoga Financial Services, we work one-on-one with clients to determine their future financial needs and use enhanced planning tools to assure they're on the right track for retirement. If you're interested in having your retirement needs calculated and projected, please call us at (518) 584-2555 to schedule a meeting.

Stay Connected!
|
If you haven't yet reached your 65th birthday, make sure it's marked on your calendar - you're eligible for Medicare! Unlike Social Security, there's a downside if you don't sign up on time. Your Medicare Part B and D premiums could permanently increase, and you could be denied supplemental coverage. If you expect to keep working, talk to someone in human resources about how this affects your group health plan. |
