RE-SET school is a diverse group of experienced educators who have come together with a unique set of skills, perspectives and capacities to help you process and learn from the disorienting impact of the pandemic on your community.
We conducted focus groups with heads of school and surveyed administrators, teachers and staff to learn more about peoples' experiences. Our research suggests that (a) wellness and connection, (b) equity and inclusion, and (c) teaching and learning are areas that will need thoughtful exploration and inquiry as part of planning for the fall. Yet, before stakeholders can turn energy and attention to building what's next, they need a structured process for understanding the experiences and lessons from three months of emergency on-line school.
What worked? What didn't? Who thrived? Who suffered? Which values were you able to uphold? Where did you fall short? What kind of learning community do you want to be going forward
