πŸŽ’ Preschool Expansion: A Big Boost for Access & Opportunity!

β€Š

The Loya Family (Flor, Jessica, and Ivanka) alongside Principal Angie Dufner in front of McPolln Elementary.

β€Š

The Loya family shows how your donations create lasting impact in our community. Jessica, a Bright Futures student at the University of Utah, started her journey in McPolin Elementary’s Preschool – where her sister Ivanka now attends 15 years later.

Next year, the Preschool program will increase its capacity from 164 to over 288 seats, expanding access to affordable, high-quality early education for more families. PCEF provides $125,000 annually. Your gift helps ensure every child has the opportunity to start their educational journey on the right foot.

Why should PCSD Preschool matter to our entire community?

  • Supports our workforce
  • Every dollar spent saves $5-$12 later
  • Increases high school and college graduation rates

Read about how the Preschool experience has been a full-circle moment for Flor's family, and how, after 25 years living in Park City, opportunities for students top the list of what she loves about our community.

Another Preschool Success Story:

Yoni Nava and his wife began to explore childcare and Preschool options for their young sons, finding it tremendously challenging to find a local program with available space at an affordable price.

β€œAs a working parent, having this affordable and great preschool opportunity for my son is invaluable and brings my family great peace of mind.” -Yoni Nava, Preschool Parent and Head of Custodians & Maintenance at Parley’s Park Elementary School

🚜 Preschool Expansion News - What's Next?

β€Š
β€Š

PCSD is continuing to grow and expand its Preschool program. Phase II of the expansion will double Preschool capacity at Parley’s Park and Trailside Elementary Schools by the 2025/26 school year. This follows the completion of Phase I, which added classrooms at Jeremy Ranch and McPolin Elementary Schools in August.

Thanks to $125,000 in annual funding from PCEF donors, and partnership with Park City Mountain, supported by Vail Resorts EpicPromise, along with the support of the Westgate Foundation, even more families will have access to high-quality, affordable Preschool, including all day and afterschool options for 3-year-olds. A licensed early childhood coordinator will join the Preschool team as the program expands to meet growing demand.
