πŸŽ“ From a PCHS Student Vision to a Startup Reality 😎

β€Š

β€œIn any of Mr. Humbert’s or Ms. Henderson’s engineering courses, I felt like I could do anything. The best thing about PCCAPS is that it allows you to explore your vision. My vision for this project was big from the get-go. And no one ever told me to think smaller – instead, I was encouraged to think bigger.” -Kristina Schiffman, 2020 PCHS Graduate

As another class of Park City students prepares to graduate, we're reminded of just how far a PCHS education can take you! Kristina's PCCAPS project helped her earn scholarships and launch a start up. And, today she officially launches UV Sense, a tech company she began as a student that tracks sun exposure. It took vision, grit, and patience to get the company off the ground, but PCCAPS gave her a head start.

Wishing the PCHS Class of 2025 all the best as they begin their next chapter and continue to chase their dreams!

β€Š

PCEF is committing $270,000 to Classroom & Express Grants for the 2025/26 school year. This funding is made possible through proceeds from Running with Ed(ucation) registrations and donations. All of your favorite programs at every school from RC Race and Engineering League and Block Robots to the Music Program and Photography are supported by Classroom Grant funding thanks to generous PCEF donors like YOU.

You don't have to race to be a part of RWE. You can donate to help your favorite teacher fundraise. To find your teacher, click here and scroll down to search by Teacher name under Fundraiser. Running with Ed is free for teachers, and more than 200 have signed up to race this year!

No donation amount is too small. Every RWE participant has their own unique link to share to friends and family in an effort to fundraise for their team...so if you know a friend participating, reach out to them for their unique link to donate.

Participants are eligible to win great prizes when you donate to their fundraiser, and more unique donations gives them more chances to win.

🍎 Park City Educators are Excellent❗️

β€Š

2025 Excellent Educator Award recipient Joanna Hammel, MPES Interventionist with MPES students.

β€Š

Every spring, PCEF honors Excellent Educators at each school, funded by the Louis and Doilney Families. This long-standing Park City tradition has been happening annually since 1996.

Each Excellent Educator Award is voted on by teachers, staff and admin from each school. Any full-time position can be nominated. Teachers are surprised and celebrated in front of their peers and students in a special ceremony at each school. The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award is given to the teacher who has the most votes from each year’s Park City High School graduating senior class.

🀩 PCHS Seniors Voted Social Studies Teacher Joanna Andres "Most Influential Educator" 🍎

β€Š

Joanna Andres is presented with 2025 Excellent Educator & The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award

β€Š

Congratulations to Social Studies Teacher Joanna Andres! For the first time in history, the same teacher has won both the Excellent Educator Award and The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award.

Andres became a teacher because she wanted to make a positive impact on kids. She said of her students, β€œThe kids come to class, and they feel like they can be themselves. There are boundaries, of course, but they can share their opinions in a respectful way. And I think the purpose of my class is to create conversation and enable kids to hear ideas different from their own so we can kind of defuse and calm things down a bit in the community and beyond.”

Park City attracts and retains top-tier educators thanks to a community that makes public education a top priority, and gives generously. Investing money directly into our classrooms ensures teachers can innovate, excel, and inspire students to reach their lifelong potential. It's a win-win for Park City educators and students when you donate to Running with Ed.
