What Reward
for Our Labor?
Tim Sutherland and Steve Magdich preparing the Teocalli
 for the new Crucifix.

When I submit to the holy will of my God,
a deep peace floods my soul.
O my Jesus, You do not give a reward for the
successful performance of a work,
but for the good will and the labor undertaken.
Therefore, I am completely at peace,
even if all my undertakings and efforts should be
thwarted or should come to naught.
If I do all that is in my power,
the rest is not my business,
And therefore the greatest storms
do not disturb the depths of my peace;
the will of God dwells in my conscience.(#952)

Another Labor of Love
Many of you will recognize Bill Wylie, good friend of the Mission and artist in wood. His creations can be found throughout the Mission--- our outdoor Rosary and Crucifix among them ---as well as homes in the area. When Bill is working on his art he always prays that God will guide him. His most recent piece is this table made from live oak and cedar found on the Mission property. It is a labor of love and we trust that it will find a good home.
Howdy to an Old Friend!
Fr. Pillari (formerly known as Fr. Moses) was back home in the US for a visit with family and friends. He came by the Mission to have lunch with the Community and visit with the staff. It was good to catch up with him.

From Men Who Made An EWJ

In the chapel on Saturday night, I asked God why I was not being healed of my headaches ( if it was His will)? I heard Him say, “You still have unforgiveness in your heart.” - C.

I came expecting to spend time in quiet reflection.  What I received was freedom from a chain that has bound my wife and I our entire married life.

Confession Schedule at MDM
Tuesday -- 7-8 PM
Sunday -- One hour before Mass begins

A helpful tip for those new to the Mission... If you really want to make sure that you get to Confession, it helps to get there a little early! And by that we mean about 5-10 minutes
before Confession is set to begin. Often there is not enough time for everyone in line to go to confession.
All donations, large or small, are appreciated and put to immediate good use!

The Mission depends entirely on donations in order to carry out our ministry. We do not receive financial support from the Archdiocese.
Please pray to see if God wants you to help support His Mission of Divine Mercy.
