IT'S EASY TO CHANGE A LIFE

What will your journey to bring clean water to a village look like? How will you "walk" so others don't have to? You don't have to go to Africa to make a profound difference. Every single dollar provides clean water for one individual forever. Emi, age 16, did it!  Watch below to see how:

Emi's small contribution made a BIG difference!

I set a goal to raise at least two thousand dollars. I set up a four-mile walk, so my friends and family could experience the distance women in Africa have to walk. We did it in the Texas heat just like women in Africa walk so far in the heat.

The walk was a great success! Especially since people realized just how hard it would be to walk 4 miles daily for water. We totaled almost forty people that came to the walk.

At the end of the fundraiser, I totaled almost thirty donors, and close to one thousand dollars more than my goal! We were able to bring an entire borehole to a village!

We were moved to tears when we were able to make the connection with the village that benefited from the well we sponsored. The people were so grateful and so genuinely happy.  The village leader said it is was a gift from God.

We live abundantly with much more than we need and seeing how these good people desperately need clean water and having the opportunity to help was truly a blessing for our family. The experience and people will have a place in our hearts forever more. We look forward to helping with another well in the near future.

Last December, I decided I would love to give a village “Clean Water for Christmas.”

I emailed and messaged almost everyone I knew—neighbors, friends, extended family, my church community, etc. We posted on social media and asked others to as well. People were so generous and happy to donate what they could.

Word quickly got around, and in less than 12 hours, $3,000 had been raised - the exact amount needed to drill a new borehole to provide clean water for a village in Uganda.
