Your Legacy, Your Way: It’s Estate Planning Awareness Week

The Hope Foundation Partners with Freewill to Make Planning Easy

Do you have an estate plan in place? National Estate Planning Awareness Week, October 19-25, serves as an important reminder that many Americans have yet to create or update their plans – and a way to encourage taking action.

The Hope Foundation is proud to partner with Freewill to offer SWOG members and supporters free estate planning resources, making it easier to protect what matters most while creating a lasting impact through a planned gift.

Support the Ride from Any Location and Advance Critical Cancer Research

In 2027, Team Hope is riding to support the Gail Blodgett Fund.

The Gail Blodgett Fund supports innovative clinical and translational research within SWOG's genitourinary cancer research committee, advancing discoveries that improve treatment options and quality of life for patients with bladder and other GU cancers.

Established in Gail's honor, the fund helps maximize the scientific value of patient-contributed specimens and supports research that deepens our understanding of tumor biology, paving the way for more personalized and effective cancer care.

SWOG Chairs Dr. Dawn Hershman and Dr. Primo Lara with SWOG Chief of Administration Nathan Eriksen at the fall group meeting. Eriksen will retire from the group in early 2027.
