Important economic news kicks off this week with wholesale inventory data from February. Tomorrow we see the NFIB optimism index from March, and gather insights from speeches made by three fed presidents, including Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker. On Wednesday we’ll learn of March results from the Consumer Price Index and associated data that compares this time with the same period last year. Also on Wednesday is the release of the Fed FOMC minutes from their last meeting. Thursday brings us initial jobs data for the first two weeks of this month, followed on Friday with March retail sales, import prices, and industrial production.
Earnings calls this week starts off slowly and includes PriceSmart and Tilray later today, joined by Albertsons and CarMax on Tuesday. Bed Bath & Beyond and Sportsman’s Warehouse are on tap for Wednesday. Thursday’s headliner is Delta Air Lines, followed on Friday by several State Chamber members, including JPMorgan Chase, PNC, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup.
