The next FFDI educational program will be on December 2, 2025, from 7 to 8:30 pm. Amy Keith, Common Cause Florida Executive Director, and Bob Schaeffer, political consultant, Floridians for Democracy board member, and a major player in Florida laws and battles over redistricting, will explain the current issues, ramifications, and opportunities for action.

Amy Keith serves as the Executive Director of Common Cause Florida. She has held leadership and advocacy roles with organizations including Empath Health, Equality Florida, and the League of Women Voters. With a background in program evaluation and institutional analysis, Amy brings extensive expertise in program development, grant acquisition, and humanitarian research for nonprofit organizations. 


Bob Schaeffer is a political consultant, communications strategist, and President of Fair Districts Now, Florida’s nonpartisan redistricting reform organization. He co-authored Winning Local & State Elections: The Guide to Organizing Your Campaign (Simon & Schuster, 1998) and previously served as interim Executive Director of FairTest, a national standardized testing watchdog. Bob has also worked as research director for the Massachusetts Legislature’s Joint Committee on Human Services and Elderly Affairs and was part of the Education Research Center at MIT, where he was a student. He’s the author of several books on elections and educational testing.
