New Sick Leave Law

On January 12th, the Maryland General Assembly enacted HB1, the
Healthy Working Families Act
(HWFA), overriding Governor Hogan’s veto. HWFA just became effective February 11th with nearly all Central Maryland Chamber (CMC) employers becoming covered by this new law.

On April 3rd, the Central Maryland Chamber will launch its 3rd Business Connections Network, a premier networking group focused on connecting business professionals, sharing leads and building strategic relationships throughout Central Maryland.
This is a new (

) benefit for CMC members. Non-members are welcome to attend one meeting as a guest, but must join the chamber to continue with the group.
