Your Support of GCMIC Helps
to Inspire Future Leaders
Our mission is to bring to life George C. Marshall’s timeless values of selfless service and unwavering integrity to develop visionary leaders worldwide.

Now & Then at Dodona Manor and our Virtual Leadership Speaker Series are programs made possible by supporters like you.
Now & Then at Dodona Manor
Now & Then at Dodona Manor is a fun and interactive 12-week program for ages 10-100. This series is a benefit of membership and all members are granted early access before it is open to the general public.

Visionary Leadership Speaker Series (VLSS)
Our Visionary Leadership Speaker Series (VLSS) highlights local visionary leaders. Videos are offered live on the fourth Wednesday of each month and are made available on-demand thereafter.

We also preserve General Marshall's home, Dodona Manor. Here's how:
Cataloging Our Archive Room
90% of the exhibits in Dodona Manor belonged to the Marshalls. The Archive Room in Dodona Manor is where we safely store things that are not or cannot be displayed such as artwork, letters, photographs, textiles and hats, and flags. We have around 600 objects in our Archive Room that our Museum Director, Cody Youngblood, and summer interns have been working hard to catalog into our collections management software.
Cataloging and Preserving All of the Books in Dodona Manor
Did you wonder what was in the Marshalls' library? We have also been working on better preserving and cataloging ALL of the books in Dodona Manor! We are in the process of covering over 300 book dust jackets with a stable polyester cover that will protect them from dust, ripping, and direct handling. Once that is complete, we will photograph each book and give it a unique accession number. We will enter its data into our collections management software. This collection will be accessible to the public this Fall.
Repairing Dodona Manor
Lastly, in collaboration with Bob Sanders from Loudoun Restoration, we have been repairing the keystone lintel above one of the windows on the front of the house. Over time, water penetration has caused both the lintel and keystone to rot. We have already scraped out the rotted wood and will soon be filling it in with epoxy. Because the keystone is badly rotted, it will have to be replaced, which he will do by making an exact replica of it!
Here are other items we are working on.
Our Most Pressing Needs

WELCOME SHED - $15,000
One of our Summer projects is to transform our shed into a welcome and ticketing center. This renovation will allow us to serve our visitors better, provide a small gift shop, and transform Dodona’s foyer into a new exhibit space.
HAUB ROOM UPDATE - $25,000
The Haub Education Room, generously sponsored by the Haub family many years ago, is now due for a facelift and update. New museum-quality display cases, lighting upgrades, general painting and carpeting will be added.
Our New Family Membership

Our family-level membership comes with access to all  Now & Then at Dodona Manor  videos and corresponding distance-learning materials as well as family passes to the grounds of Dodona Manor for private family picnics.

However, there is so much more to being a family member!  Find out more here:

In this spirit, our family-level membership grants you access to all of GCMIC's 12-week video distance-learning program with corresponding materials.
