Black Gold Jubilee 2022 was a Great Success!
This year marked the 44th year of the jubilee and it was spectacular! We had over 70 vendors, a Farmer's Market, and exciting rides for the entire family.
The Jubilee took place on April 2nd and was preceded by multiple events including the Children's Fishing Contest, Night Time Golfing Tournament, the Little Miss Black Gold Pageant, and the Harvest Queen Pageant.
New, was a mini concert the night before the Jubilee, featuring Tom Jackson, and it was huge! We had a wonderful turnout and look forward to start scheduling a "Friday Mini-Concert" next year.
The morning of the Jubilee, festivities started with a 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run (with fog), at noon the fun began with food, rides, and a free photo booth. We had great arts and crafts, area businesses, and some of our local governments. Did we mention the exciting volleyball and cornhole tournaments? A display of our fantastic local talent took place under the tent - we have some of the best talent around!
This year's entertainment was awesome! KC and the Sunshine tribute band started with a flashback to the 70's and got everyone to "boogie", this was followed by Tracy Byrd... need we say more? As always, Tracy gave a show that leaves you wanting more- great lights, great sound, GREAT SHOW! The day was topped off with the grand finale - a spectacular extended fireworks display over the lake.
This year's Jubilee was a fun time and we look forward to next year!
