Greetings!

As we celebrate Earth Day, we wanted to thank everyone who joined us for our Earth Day celebration this past Saturday.

It was a wonderful afternoon and a great reminder of how much this community cares about the outdoors and environmental education.

We welcomed around 400 attendees and had the help of 30 volunteers to make it all happen. Families enjoyed a full afternoon of activities, including:

• Live animal presentations (and getting to touch the animals!)
• Rock wall climbing
• Minnow races
• Pinecone bird feeder making
• Seed bombs and marigold planting
• Scavenger hunt, nature hikes and more

Everyone was also able to take home a free tree, which is always a highlight.

Highlights

The “Zoo To You” presentations were a favorite. Kids loved getting up close with the animals. We also had some great moments connecting with wildlife, including a birding hike where kids were able to hold a purple martin. The WM Recycling truck was also a hit, with plenty of horn honking and smiles throughout the afternoon.

Thank You

Thank you to our volunteers, staff, and event sponsors who helped make the day possible.
