How Community Planners See Columbus Changing in 10 Years

10 years from now, Murdock said Central Ohio residents should also be able to choose from more than what’s currently available to get from point A to point B in and out of Central Ohio. The LinkUS initiative, which would expand public transit through a rapid bus system and additional connections, will get a vote on the fall 2024 ballot, Mayor Andrew Ginther said in his State of the City remarks in March.

In March, it was unveiled that the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) would be putting a levy on the ballot in 2024 to help pay for the ambitious $8 billion LinkUs transit expansion program that would bring high-capacity lines to dense corridors throughout the region.

New Study to Look at Downtown Parking – Here’s What We Already Know

City officials have said that the multimodal study will look specifically at several proposals from the Downtown Strategic Plan, such as dedicated transit lanes on Third Street and two-way protected bike lanes on both Broad Street and Fourth Street. That study will also look at COTA’s proposed LinkUs Bus Rapid Transit corridors and examine how those lines will connect with other bus lines Downtown.
