2025 Season Review

www.AndrewLakeLodge.com

For a pilot, I sure find myself driving a lot. Writing this in my mind as I drive up to Fort Smith in mid October to close down our floatplane base. Many times over the summer I've done back to back runs hauling supplies. This is the return leg after flying the Cessna 180 down south for annual inspections and a few surprise upgrades for next season. 2025 is in the books and for the first time in months there's no schedule, no weather stress, no last minute camp checks, freight or beer flights. Just open road and thinking about the 2025 season. Once again it all worked out! Great guests and a super crew of staff, pilots and guides that make it all happen. I still love it! Let's do it all over again next year!

Hunting 2025

Making Calls

2025 moose hunting season wrapped! Awesome to have new hunters and so many returning groups. Some for their 2nd, 6th, 18th and 21st year hunting with us!. Some challenging conditions. fall wildfires, smoke and missed shots, all part of the experience.

Calling was successful with bulls answering early, with our opening September 10.

Scored with nice racks, meat and memories of lifetime. Now booking 2026 remaining dates and 2027 for drop camps and outfitted lake packages in the extreme northeast corner of Alberta.

How do you get all of this here?

Many were asking this as they see everything at the lakes.

"One flight at a time" is our response.

We are continually improving our facilities and amenities.

This year, we saw the addition of Andrew lake cabin upgrades, kitchens and Utah barrel wood stoves

Cabin improvements also included the new construction at South Leland Outpost camp. Just some flagging tape and a vision two years ago. Now it's taking shape! This will increase comfort and capacity for our outpost camp. Stay tuned for grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.

We also added new boats to go with our recent motor upgrades to help navigate our lakes.

Jim gets new wheels!

Our guests know that Jim goes nonstop and puts a lot of miles on the ATV up and down the hill. This year we upgraded to a new Honda for him and the old one was moved on our "Super Barge" to the airstrip to haul luggage and cut grass.

How we flew the old ATV's in.

Fishing

Fishing 2025 was nothing short of exhilarating, with our pristine lakes delivering incredible results that left anglers buzzing with excitement.

Our South Leland Lake outpost camp, guests enjoyed the unique experience of being dropped off with an exclusive camp and a lake all to themselves! Guests enjoyed catching all three species - with Walleye, Pike, and Lake Trout providing the action.

At Andrew Lake Lodge, we offer both full-service trips complete with delectable meals and do-it-yourself cooking packages in cozy private cabins, catering to every fishing enthusiast's desires. September was particularly thrilling, as the spawning season ignited intense action with Lake Trout moving into the shallows, and guests reeling in impressive Pike that were hooked, landed, and released!

Meanwhile, Lynx Tundra Lodge welcomed new guests that were delighted in catching Lynx Lakers. Pike and Arctic Grayling along the scenic tree line and eskers.

As we look forward to next season, mark your calendars—first casts will be on May 20!
