If you had no fears, what would you do? This age-old question has been asked often - but have you ever seriously contemplated it?

 

Has it made you uncomfortable? Do you ignore it because it makes you feel vulnerable? Is conquering a fear one of your New Year's Resolutions?

 

Sadly, some the motivation dies down as you hit the bumps along the road. 


 

I know that you know IT needs to be done. Whether that "IT" means losing/gaining weight, getting healthier, finding a new career path, or simply opening up to a loving relationship.

 

What if you had a companion along this journey? A companion who could support you; A companion who would be your cheerleader; A companion who would hold you accountable in a warm, loving manner. Would you consider getting that support?

 

But until you make that commitment towards self-love and choose to work with a coach, a mentor, or friend, here are 3 simple tips to help you live a more satisfying life.

 

1: Offer yourself total acceptance. This means no matter where you are in your journey, be in acceptance of who you are at the moment.

 

2: Forgiveness: We all make mistakes. Some large, and some small.  But recognize that experience is the best teacher and learn with every mistake. Forgiveness can be easy - if you recognize intention is the most important aspect. 

 

3: Kindness: Remember to be kind to yourself. "With Self Love comes Self Healing."

Bonus Recipe

Warming Lentil Stew 
Serves 4 
Ingredients:

 1 medium onion chopped,

 3 cloves garlic chopped 

2 parsnips or carrots chopped 

1 tablespoon ghee or coconut oil

1 cup red lentils, washed

5 cups water

1 teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoons cumin 
 

1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon sea salt
Chopped parsley or scallion for garnish

 

Directions: 

  1. Heat oil in a pot and saut� onion and parsnip for 10 minutes.
  2. Add washed lentils and water and bring to a boil.
  3. Skim off the foam. Lower the heat, add cumin and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
  4. Add the lemon juice and salt. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve in individual bowls and garnish with parsley or scallion
