PREPARING FOR WORSHIP

Pastor Trudy's Message

The Holy Spirit comes to the people! I'm grateful that Pastor Wende was up last week with another school shooting and the death of a local teen. I'm running out of words to say and my heart is broken by our collective inability to agree on things that, from a Gospel perspective, seem pretty clear. Maybe you feel this way as well. That puts us in the room with the disciples, broken-hearted and out of words, awaiting the Spirit that Jesus promised. It comes with a rush and we should pay close attention to what they really 'get' when it comes. It may not be what you expect...or have been praying for.

Good and gracious God, You sent Your Spirit upon the disciples and upon us. Inspire our work of following You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
