6-Mile Trail Race
Sunday, November 11, 2018
An SRC Sponsored Event.
The course encompasses winding wooded trails, gullies, footbridges, small streams, mud, fallen trees, leaves, varmints, and several eco-systems. You will run through cedar forest & beautiful wetlands. It is tough, challenging and hilly, but most everyone finishes intact.

Awards:
Top three Overall,
Three-deep in 10-year age groups through 80!
Fun awards: Muddiest, Bloodiest, and so forth. Special Raffle and other prizes.

After 6 years race directing the Trick or Trot, it’s time for me to step down. It has been an honor to be entrusted with a long-standing JSRC staple. Every year I’ve been humbled by the outpouring of support the race receives from everyone in the JSRC – and that’s made the job a lot easier and a lot more fun.

A note from Shore AC!
JSRC is having their best year ever at the Shore AC XC series. Only squad to field a full team every week and in contention for the Overall title with only one race left. Also, Steve Apostolacas has been a volunteer every week.

The Navesink Challenge is gearing up for another great race day on Sunday, November 25! 
This event is strictly limited and is expected to sell out!!!
They have a great committee of fun and dedicated members ... but can always use more energy and knowledge! No matter what your skills, interest or talent may be, they can use you ... yes YOU!!! Race day planning, party planning, web design, organizing - anything that helps make the day a great experience for our runners, volunteers and sponsors is welcomed!!

2018 Cross Country Series Finish
Second Overall for the 2018 Series!
Cross Country wrapped up on November 3 at Holmdel Park. We ran in memory of team mate Bob VanClef , who passed away just after this race two years ago.
JSRC was the only club to field a team all six weeks!
They count each team's best four races.
Congratulations to Shore AC who won with four firsts.
JSRC was a solid second for the series, with a first and three seconds.
Congratulations to our age group winners:
John Gore M50-59, Laura Moetz F50-59 and Marylyn Ryder F70-79--well done!
Thanks again to all who came out to run!!

To All NYC Marathon Volunteers ,
A hearty thanks for your efforts on Sunday at the NYC Marathon. I am sure all of the runners appreciated al of your hard work.
We also represented the JSRC in a great way at this world class event.
Every year our group is very organized and works hard the entire shift.
I hope you had some time during the day to enjoy all that was going on around you.
I would like to thank each of you on behalf of the JSRC, NYRR and 50,000 runners.

2018 Manasquan Turkey Run
Saturday, November 17

With a record number of runners last year at the Annual Manasquan Turkey Run , don’t get shut out of the 2018 five mile race when the limit of 2,000 runners is reached.

Pre-Registration fee is $35 - Register today to guarantee your long sleeve tee-shirt!  

Online registration closes November 14.
R ace-week in-person registration is on Thursday and Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Leggett's, and race-day from 8:30 a.m. at Little League Field.
Race day fee $40. Race day shirts "while they last"
Don't get left at the station!
This traditional pre-Thanksgiving race benefits the Asbury Park Youth Program and Asbury Park Mount Carmel School.
Your entry fee includes the run, the party, a Beer, pizza, your train ticket if registered by November 14 and raffles.

Note: the Tee-shirt is extra after November 8 and shirts will be available for purchase for $10.

Across from train station.
Registration will be open until train is full. 
Day of Registration available for $25 with train ticket while they last. After that you have to buy at station. NO SHIRT!
Make Race Day Checks out to JSRC or exact change in cash.
  • Take the Train from Asbury Park then run back along the Boardwalks to Johnny Mac House of Spirits – 1 to 6 + Miles.

Seaside Heights to Asbury Park
T he Jersey Shore Relay
Relay teams run from Seaside Heights to Asbury Park, NJ on an awesome 26-mile oceanfront course along many boardwalks and past scenic venues.
The Asbury Park Half Marathon
Starts and finishes in Asbury Park. Run the USATF Certified Course through the beautiful Jersey Shore towns of Deal, Interlaken, Allenhurst, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach and Avon-by-the-Sea.
The Jersey Shore 5K
Fast and flat. Starts and finishes in Asbury Park. Scenic course with views of Stone Pony, Madam Marie, Convention Hall, and the Great Auditorium. Finish on the historic Asbury Park Boardwalk.
