8 ways to help President Trump

President Trump is gloriously fulfilling his campaign promises, and we all feel like it's too good to be true. But it is true, thank the Lord!

However, time is short. President Trump reportedly asks every day how many weeks, how many days, how many hours are left. He is going at a breakneck pace to enact his policies and clean out the Augean stables that are the US Government. And of course, the usual suspects are trying their best to stymie his every move.

We as citizens must have his back, not just at a national level but at a local one. The 2026 elections will be upon us sooner than we think. In North Carolina, we did not win across the board, nor did we win all our races in Moore County, leaving plenty of room for us to resist Liberal actions.

What can WE do? Seeing all the energy and determination coming from the White House, we must commit to expending some energy of our own!

Click here for a suggested list of action items we can each do that will make a difference.

Note next luncheon date: March 12!

Our normal luncheon date would be March 5, but since that's Ash Wednesday and many of our members will want to go to church, we have moved the next luncheon to March 12.

Reservations will open when we send out the invitation to attend - late in February. Please don't try to reserve now...but make a note of it on your calendar!

Highlights from February luncheon

More than 100 members and associates attended the February luncheon. As Charli Thyne was unable to be there, Pauline Bruno substituted as host for the event.

In her remarks, Pauline commented on the recent attempt to oust Tom Beddow as Chairman of the Moore County GOP. She said some have questioned his effectiveness. She clearly and concisely refuted all of the allegations and stated that MRW strongly endorses him. She urged everyone to attend the precinct meetings (see below) to support Tom in his re-election.

Greg Gebhardt, Executive Director of Military Missions in Action (MMIA), talked about the important work this organization is doing throughout NC and our community. Homeless veterans often fall through the cracks, and their needs are not met by the VA - and that's where MMIA comes in. You can support this great organization by donating here and/or attending its gala fundraiser on March 29 (see article below).

Amy Kappelman of Moms for Liberty (pictured at right with Caroline Kelly, founder of the Moore County Moms For Liberty chapter) talked about the current status of parental rights. While President Trump has outlawed DEI in public schools, many other issues still exist - and parental involvement is crucial. She suggested you visit the website here for more information, and attend school board meetings when possible.

Upcoming precinct meetings - Support Thomas Beddow for Chair of the Moore County Republican Party by attending precinct meetings (2/15 and 2/22), to elect delegates and alternates to the Moore County Convention on March 22. At the Convention, these delegates will elect Moore County GOP leadership for the next two years. Your support to re-elect Tom will really make a difference. Go here for more information about the precinct meetings. Bring a neighbor!

In addition, by becoming a Delegate to the Moore County Convention, you may become a Delegate to the 2025 NCGOP Convention on June 6 & 7 in Greensboro. There are important issues to be voted on at our 2025 NGCOP Convention, proposed changes that affect all of us. We need as many Delegates as possible to be present at the NCGOP Convention on Friday and Saturday, June 6 & 7. And that can only happen if you attend your precinct meeting and become a Delegate.

Upcoming school board meetings: We no longer have a conservative majority, so it's important for as many people as possible to attend board meetings and keep their focus on education, not indoctrination.

Attendees were invited to write cards to President Trump to say congratulations and thanks! Above, Sue Griggs was one of 55 attendees to write cards to the President.

We had fun looking at the numerous wedding pictures that were shared in honor of Valentine's Day.
