What does $25.43 mean to BEDS Plus Care?
Dear BEDS Friend:

$25.43 is the value of one hour of your volunteer time, according to Independent Sector , which sets the national standard.

You give BEDS Plus $25.43 every time you volunteer for one hour. Won’t you please consider making an equivalent monetary donation to help us through our emergency response to the COVID-19 outbreak? If you have already made a donation, thank you .

We estimate over $100,000 in additional expenses to keep our shelter guests as safe as possible.  The outpouring of support ranges from a $15 donation from a shelter guest on Saturday night to $1,500 from the family of one of our case managers. People are giving what they feel they can.

Perhaps you saw Tim’s story in our March 24 Facebook post. He is pictured above (far left) with his case manager Jennifer Tudor and his shelter friends who helped him move into a new apartment. Tim is one of countless shelter guests who was able to qualify for housing and leave shelter – for good.  Tim's success is  your  success.

Volunteers have served as the heart of the agency for more than 30 years. Today, we need your help in a different way, but the value is the same.

Please consider donating in the amount you are able.

Donate online here or send a check to BEDS Plus Care, P.O. Box 2035, La Grange, IL, 60525.
We are grateful for all you do and will continue to do for those in our communities who are poor, disabled, displaced and ill, who have lost or are losing their homes.
