Matthew 18:15–20 outlines Jesus's instructions for addressing conflict and sin within a community of believers with the ultimate goal of restoration.
Key Points of the Passage
- Private Confrontation (Verse 15): Go to the person alone to discuss the fault. This keeps the circle small, prevents gossip, and protects the person from public shame. The goal is to win back your brother or sister.
- Small Group Verification (Verse 16): If the person refuses to listen, take one or two witnesses along. This ensures fairness, provides objective support, and establishes the facts.
- Involving the Church (Verse 17): If they still refuse to listen, bring the matter before the wider church assembly. If they reject the community's guidance, treat them as a "Gentile and a tax collector"—which Jesus modeled as an opportunity for ongoing, compassionate outreach rather than cruel shunning.
- Binding and Loosing (Verse 18): The community receives the authority to declare what is bound or loosed on earth, reflecting God's heavenly standard regarding accountability and truth.
- The Power of Agreement and Christ’s Presence (Verses 19–20): Jesus promises that when two or three gather together in His name, He is actively present among them. Shared prayer and agreement carry profound spiritual weight under divine oversight.

September 13th 2026
We invite you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to our outdoor worship. We will meet in the parking lot at 9:30 for Bible Study. The service will begin at 10:30. After the worship service, we will have a cookout sponsored by The Brothers of St. Andrew's. Parishioners are asked to support the cookout by bringing side dishes to pair with hot dogs and hamburgers.

Father of Labor Day was Black lawmaker from Cleveland
John Patterson Green, who introduced a bill in 1890 creating the holiday in Ohio, is honored with a memorial garden at Woodland Cemetery. He was also a member of St.Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Kitchen Supplies Shower, September 20, 2026
Our MADACA Guild is sponsoring a shower to help restock the kitchen supplies. We are currently out of many items and very low on others. The following items are some of the items being requested. However, all donated items are welcome. In addition, monetary donations are also appreciated. It is recommended that you purchase in bulk for better prices.

Cups (small and large) for cold beverages
Coffee cups
Garbage bags (30 gal)
Storage bags (gallon & quart)
Sandwich bags
Soup bowls

Find food and other resources: Call the Help Center at (216) 738-2067 or use the interactive map on the Greater Cleveland Food Bank website to find local pantries, hot meal sites, and other programs.
- Apply for government benefits: The Help Center can assist with over-the-phone applications for SNAP (formerly Food Stamps) and other public benefits.
- Visit the Community Resource Center: Located at 15500 S. Waterloo Rd., this center offers a healthy food market with extended hours and serves as a one-stop shop for resources.
- Access senior-specific programs: The Food Bank is committed to improving access to nutritious food for older adults through dedicated programs.
