What's Love Got to do with it?
John 14:15-21 features Jesus promising the Holy Spirit (the Advocate) to his disciples, emphasizing that love for him is demonstrated through obedience to his commands. He promises not to leave them orphaned, assuring that he and the Father will make their home with those who love him.

Key Aspects of the Explanation:

Love as Obedience (v. 15, 21): Jesus connects love for him directly with keeping his commandments, specifically to love one another. True love for Jesus is not merely emotional but actionable.

The Promise of the Helper (v. 16-17): Jesus promises "another Advocate" (Greek: paraklētos), a helper or counselor, who will remain with believers forever. The Holy Spirit acts as the spirit of truth, abiding with and living inside believers.

A Personal Relationship (v. 18-20): Jesus reassures the disciples he will not leave them as "orphans," but will return to them through the Spirit. While the world cannot see him, the disciples will, as he and the Father abide within them.

Services for those in need

Find food and other resources: Call the Help Center at (216) 738-2067 or use the interactive map on the Greater Cleveland Food Bank website to find local pantries, hot meal sites, and other programs.
- Apply for government benefits: The Help Center can assist with over-the-phone applications for SNAP (formerly Food Stamps) and other public benefits.
- Visit the Community Resource Center: Located at 15500 S. Waterloo Rd., this center offers a healthy food market with extended hours and serves as a one-stop shop for resources.
- Access senior-specific programs: The Food Bank is committed to improving access to nutritious food for older adults through dedicated programs.
