Church family, are we living into our vision? Are we striving to meet our mission? If not, why not? and how can we reach the goals we have set for ourselves both personally and collectively?
Mission Statement
To love and serve God and our neighbor, by striving to meet the needs of God's people.
Vision Statement
To be a Christian community of faith where love lives, love works, to spread the good news of God's grace and mercy.

Matthew 20:1–16 contains the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard, which teaches that God's kingdom operates on divine grace rather than human merit or earned reward.
Key Points of the Passage
- The Landowner's Generosity: A landowner hires workers at different hours of the day (morning, noon, and even one hour before quitting time). He promises the first group a standard daily wage (a denarius) and tells the later groups he will give them whatever is right.
-
Equal Pay for Unequal Hours: At the end of the day, every worker receives the exact same wage—one denarius—regardless of how long they worked.
-
The Complaint of the Early Workers: The laborers who worked the entire day grumble, feeling it is unfair that those who worked only one hour are made equal to them.
-
Grace Over Fairness: The landowner replies that he did no wrong, as he paid them what was agreed. He asks, "Is your eye envious because I am generous?" (using a Greek idiom for a resentful or "evil eye").
-
The Final Principle: Jesus summarizes the lesson: "So the last will be first, and the first last." Eternal life and God's ultimate gifts are given by grace to all believers, not earned by the length or intensity of human labor.
