Dear CASA supporter,

For many children, August is filled with excitement—shopping for school supplies, meeting new teachers, and reconnecting with friends.

For children who have experienced abuse or neglect, however, a new school year can bring uncertainty. Changes in schools, caregivers, or routines can make this season especially challenging.

That's why CASA volunteers are so important. They provide something every child deserves: a consistent, caring adult who shows up, listens, and advocates for their best interests.

As our community prepares for another school year, we're grateful for the volunteers, donors, and partners who make this work possible. Because of you, children across Lake County know they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

Thank you for standing beside them.

With gratitude,

P.S. 17 children are currently waiting for a CASA volunteer. Our next training begins August 31, and we need at least 5 more people to step up. Could one of them be you? Learn more and apply to become a CASA Advocate today!

Mission Statement

CASA Lake County exists to promote and protect the best interests of youth who have been found to be abused, neglected, or dependent. We train and empower volunteers to advocate for them in the courts and in the community to help them safely return to their families, or when not possible, help them achieve safe and permanent homes where they can thrive.
