Greetings!

It all started with a God-given vision in the days following Hurricane Katrina.

As thousands of displaced evacuees poured into Austin, the Church stood by eagerly awaiting opportunities to serve those who had lost so much. But without trained and credentialed volunteers and the necessary background checks in place, the Church was turned away .

"We were caught unprepared," Doug James, a pastor at Hill Country Bible Church, recently told the Austin American-Statesman.

In a time when the Church was needed most, it was refused a seat at the table.

And then, the vision came to our Founder and Executive Director, Daniel Geraci. A fully mapped out vision of a what a unified network of churches -- equipped, trained and prepared to mobilize during times of disaster -- could look like.

Today, that vision is being fulfilled with nearly 190 Greater Austin churches on the network, thousands of trained and credentialed volunteers, and solid relationships with the government, emergency management services and other disaster relief agencies like the American Red Cross in place.

But don't take our word for it. Read all about our story in the in-depth article below that ran in this past Sunday's Austin American-Statesman.
Since our inception in 2009, by working in partnership with the Church and people like you, we've been able to serve about 43,000 survivors of disaster. And each of these survivors encountered the love of Christ's as we worked to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

We've come a long way since 2009, but the need for our network and the services we provide continue to grow. In the last 10 years, the Greater Austin area has seen more major disasters than in the previous 100 years combined. As the needs of communities impacted by disaster grow, so do ours.

Greetings! we need to raise $450,000 by December 31, 2019  in order to continue advancing our mission to glorify Christ by responding those impacted by disaster.

Fortunately, a foundation has agreed to match every dollar donated, up to $100,000! That means, when you give $100 today, your gift will multiply to $200.
