Her husband, Platon, (pastor) and their son, Daniel, (green shirt) remain. They share the spoken and unspoken Gospel with those in their community. Here is their story:
People who had been poor before the war have become much poorer after the war burst onto the scene in Ukraine. The fuel problem has deprived many people any opportunity to reach bigger cities to make their living. Because of the fuel situation, the cost of bus tickets are so high that people can't afford to go anywhere. Some villages can be spread out over a mile. Very few jobs are available.
When people left their homes in the warring sections of Ukraine. There was no guarantee that they would fine safety in another part of Ukraine, much less be successful in rebuilding their lives. Many of them relocated in Ovidiopol.
Platon's church is playing a very important role in the future of Ukraine. Many people go to church because they can receive food and humanitarian aid. Some are looking for hope. Others are looking for compassion. All are looking for answers.
