Lord, Hear Our Prayers
For all who are ill, and those who care for them, especially Fidelina Henriquez, grandmother of Irving Ayala; Jim Wellnitz Mike Greenfield, father of Erin Greenfield; Margaret Bundy, mother of Brett (Heidi) Bundy and grandmother to Jurgen & Elissa; Liz DeSouza; and Jim Miller.  May God’s presence and strength sustain them through the challenge of each day.

For those who have died, may Christ welcome them all into the light of His presence.

We invite you to complete our Prayer Request Form or call/email the parish office at 206-523-6776 to add names to the prayer list. Names for the petition of the sick will remain for four weeks unless otherwise specified.
Staff Updates
As we close out summer and move into planning for the fall, we would like to update you on some significant staff changes with in the parish staff. With the departure of Kendra Baker, our Director of Faith Formation; Abbie Naze, our Director of Music and Liturgy; our short term bookkeeper; and some reassessment of other roles within the current parish office structure we would like to give you some updates.
Pastoral Assistant for Administration (PAA): Torrie Smith, who has been with OLL since 2017, will be joining David Delestine in his role as PAA. With this new partnership, we hope that each of their individual strengths will serve our community and meet the needs of our parish and school as we plan for the future. Torrie will continue in her role as Director of Stewardship and Development.
Faith Formation: We have hired two part-time Pastoral Assistants for Faith Formation. Both will have different roles but will collaborate as well to bring us a well rounded Faith Formation Team. Please join us in welcoming Irving and Kim!
Irving Ayala is a recent graduate from Benedictine College with a degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics. He was a Christ in the City missionary from 2018-19 focusing on knowing, loving and serving the homeless population of Denver, CO. He is originally from El Salvador, and will also be the Spanish teacher at our parish school. Irving joins us as the Pastoral Assistant of Faith Formation for children ages kindergarten through high school.
Kim Burkhardt joins our parish staff this week as our Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation (Adults as well as Infant Baptisms). Kim did some of her college studies at a Jesuit university and has worshipped at parishes in communities where she has lived throughout Washington, British Columbia, and Oregon. Kim is active in Contemplative Outreach Northwest (feel free to ask her about contemplative prayer). Also, ask her about her favorite saints!
Bookkeeper: Jody Fitts, our previous Office Manager, has taken on the role of Bookkeeper. Jody has been at OLL since 2017 and prior to that worked at her father's CPA firm for over 20 years. She is grateful to be taking on this new role.

Parish Receptionist: Diane Raymond joined the parish staff last month as our Parish Receptionist. Diane has been a parishioner at OLL for over ten years, and her husband, David, is also a longtime parishioner as well as a graduate of OLL. The Laker legacy is still going strong with their son, Eddie, who currently attends OLL.
Human Resources Assistant: Liz Jackman will be adding Human Resources Assistant to her role as Safe Environment and Communications Coordinator. She has been a parishioner at OLL for 18 years and has been a member of the parish staff since 2017.
