Ways to help Haiti and Afghanistan
The USCCB has asked Archbishop Etienne to take up a special collection as a result of last week’s earthquake in Haiti (and the recent Tropical Storm Grace which added further devastation to the region). Please click HERE to help.
Polly Aird learned of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services' volunteer opportunities to help our Afghan allies. In addition, for monetary donations, Catholic Charities USA is helping this effort.

To aid in the education of girls in Afghanistan, donate to Sahar Education based in Seattle. Their past executive director spoke at OLL some years ago.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
RCIA begins in the fall and now is the time to begin to invite your friends and family! RCIA is for non-Catholics who are interested in learning about our faith in order to come into the Church at the Easter Vigil. It is also for Catholics who missed out on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation when they were teens. Pray about asking one person you know--your invitation may be just what they were waiting for! We begin classes in September.

For questions please contact Kendra Baker, Director of Faith Formation or 206-523-6776
