Ride the Virtual Bus to Kick Off
2020- 2021 Campaign!
Like everything else right now, our 2020 Community Campaign Kickoff will be very different. But we are making the best of it and offering a Kickoff that will introduce you to more partners than we could squeeze into our regular 90-minute event.

Please bring your own lunch and ride our virtual bus on September 15, 16, and 17 when we will visit our network partners as they support our focus on Education and Health.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions at each 'bus stop' after a brief demonstration like the video above to introduce you to the program UWSEMO supports with YOUR donations.

Registration information and details on the Bus Route' and schedule will arrive in next month's newsletter. We hope you will designate these dates to ride with United Way and learn just how your donation is changing lives in Southeast Missouri.
Stuff the Bus FUND
School will be very different this year;
help students get a good start!
This year you will still be able to donate products on tax-free weekend at your local participating Walmart. On August 8-9 they will have bins out to collect items for area public school districts. However, we know that COVID-19 is a serious concern, and we are doing our part to limit the amount of people in stores on tax-free weekend. So, rather than having school buses and students in the parking lots, like so many other events, Stuff the Bus is going virtual!

You can make a general donation for funds to go where they are needed most, or you can designate to a specific school district in the notes/comments section when making your donation. School supplies are an added expense to families already burdened by the impact of COVID-19. We appreciate the organizations that return every year to help sponsor this event: KFVS12, Withers Broadcasting, Walmart, and The Salvation Army.
We are rolling on with our
Golf Tournament!
It is time to REGISTER for our 33rd Annual Golf Tournament!
We are going to need your support more than ever this year. Our Funded Partners are counting on us to continue helping them fight financial insecurity, health barriers, and educational needs.

We had to cancel Over the Edge, our biggest fundraiser, as did many of our partners who depend on our support. However, we are committed to hosting our 33rd Annual Golf Tournament at the Cape Girardeau Country Club on October 2nd. Please save the date and include us in your sponsorships for the year! Our 30 partners could really use your help. Register by taking the survey below.

So what does it mean to run a UWSEMO Workplace Campaign?

The workplaces in our network range from 5 to 500 employees. We always make sure we work with your ECC (Employee Campaign Champion) and leadership team to make things as interactive, customized, and convenient as possible!

We give you the opportunity to hear directly from our nonprofit partners about the work they are doing with your United Way donations.

The stories they can share are extremely moving!
We have countless opportunities to create something unique for your team. If you have an idea, please reach out. We would love to incorporate your ideas and customize your next Employee Campaign.

If you have found value in the UWSEMO Network at your workplace, please consider sharing this with a local business owner. We would love to receive referrals of other local people looking to get their workplace involved in something that benefits the entire community.
