As we move through this first semester, I want to thank our teachers, support staff, administration, and most importantly your children, for being very diligent about the safety protocols we have in place as we hold in-person school during this global pandemic. We are encouraged by the numbers we are seeing thus far in our attempt to mitigate the virus’ spread in our schools.
As you know, we have made many changes to provide the level of safety protocols the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Cass County Health Department (CCHD) recommend for schools. Given that we start our eighth week of school next Monday, we want to pause to hear from you.
ViPR, the A/B schedule at the secondary schools, and the implementation of Canvas and Seesaw are just a few examples of the pivots we made to provide quality learning experiences for all of our students. As you recall, I said in my July 9 email to you that “no plan during this pandemic will be perfect.” While this may be the most challenging year in education in recent history, we also want to continuously improve how we navigate this pandemic from a teaching and learning perspective. If you can spare a few minutes, I am asking you to complete this survey to help us understand what is working well for your student(s) and what is not. We want to hear about both types of experiences so we can continue to support what is working well and make adjustments where we can.
The Board of Education and I thank you for your continued support. This is a year unlike any other, but together is truly the only way to move forward.
Thank you for entrusting your children to the Ray-Pec School District.
I am passionately driven by the belief that Everyone Is Created To Flourish
