Adlerian Parenting E-Book: Available Now
|
|
Alfred Adler is a well-known Austrian physician and psychiatrist who's concepts and work formed the framework for individual psychology.
His vision was to help cultivate capable, resilient and creative children. Now known as Adlerian concepts and principles, his parenting methods focus on mutual respect, social interest, psychological birth order, cooperative problem solving, the four goals of misbehavior and the family meeting.
Through his work, Alfred Adler recognized a need to develop democratic character in ourselves and our children. He focused on concepts of inferiority and personality, and he pioneered positive parenting strategies which include natural and logical consequences, encouragement and mutual respect. These strategies make for resilient children who will grow up with the democratic stamina to help create an impact in communities across the world.
Several Simply Bee clinicians studied these concepts at Adler University and now put them into practice in their work here with children, teens and parents. Katie Klein, LCPC, has captured many of his concepts at a high level and included them in this new e-book. Download now to learn more about how you can implement these insightful and pragmatic ideas to transform your parent-child relationships today.

Administrative Gratitude & 2022 Planning Retreat
|
|
Our administrative and leadership team spent some time this month to come together offsite for a team retreat. During this time one of our main focuses was on celebrating major goals and achievements from 2021. It can feel difficult sometimes to stop and express gratitude for teammates, leadership and all those behind the work we do to provide and create programs, services and resources for the community and our clients.
So please join us in extending gratitude to all the incredible people behind the scenes here at Simply Bee:
- Madeline Pekala, Executive Assistant & Podcast Support
- Jacqui Widmark, Intellectual Property Manager & Podcast Support
- Keri Eckert, Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist
- Kate Kelley, Manager of Community Education
- Audrey Grunst, CEO & Owner of Simply Bee
Taking this time away to review all the milestones we set and accomplished this year was so rewarding. It also allowed us to refuel our cups and turn our focus towards continued development and improvement of our services and programs, as well as identify areas of new growth opportunities across our organization in 2022.
PS - We can't wait to share what we have in store for our community so stay tuned!

Holiday Gift Program with Youth Services
|
|
Youth Services is so excited to move forward with their Holiday Gift program to provide holiday wishes and joy for those who need it most. Many have experienced the impact of the current climate so they wanted to provide an opportunity for the community to come together and make the holidays brighter for the many local underserved families involved with Youth Services.
Holiday Gift is a true reflection of their work to ensure every child grows up happy, healthy, and with hope – and their work has never been more important. All recipient families have a child or children enrolled in either their Boys & Girls Clubs, Study Buddies, mentor program, individual and group counseling, Pride youth, or crisis intervention services. The families whose wishes are fulfilled rely on the simple fact that Youth Services never turns anyone away based on ability to pay.
Additionally, there will also be wrapping parties this year! Time slots do fill up quickly so please don’t hesitate to lock in your date. If you are coming with a group, please include your company, school, church, group name in the field provided when registering.
