"Its efforts to build communities and to help underrepresented groups

find a voice have provided a valuable example for New York and the rest of the nation."

Mayoral Proclamation for "City Limits Day" - October 26, 2011

2011 & 2012 Sigma Delta Chi Awards for Outstanding Journalism-Society of Professional Journalists

Friend,

For nearly four decades, our mission at City Limits has been simple: creating a better-informed democracy by providing in-depth reporting and engagement on civic, economic, and social justice issues and ideas in New York City.

Although our platform has evolved (we're all-digital now), we continue to extend our reach and leverage our leadership role to convene civic conversations and collaborations that strengthen awareness and citizenry.

We're proud of what we've done over the last year and know we couldn't have done it without your support.

What's Different in 2013?

The Stakes: A pivotal mayoral election as the city continues to recover from a devastating storm, rising costs of living, a fiscal cliff as cities push for a national urban agenda, and threatened cuts to vital social services for the most vulnerable New Yorkers.

We know more important work is ahead and we need your support to do it!

Our New Year's Resolution: To bring even harder-hitting journalism and discussions to an audience aspiring to understanding how America's largest city can realize a more equitable future.

No gift is too small---please contribute!
